The Lindberghs' 1931 flight ended when the Lockheed Sirius capsized in the Yangtze River in China. No one was hurt.

Description: 

At Hankow, China, while being lowered into the Yangtze River from the British aircraft carrier Hermes, the airplane capsized, and one of the wings hit a ship cable. The damaged airplane had to be returned to the United States for repairs, ending the Lindberghs’ 1931 survey flight.
